Richard values strong relationships with clients and partners. He believes in customer satisfaction and strives to enhance our services. His leadership and vision are instrumental in driving us forward. He ensures the company maintains its legacy, and evolves to meet future demands.

Despite his busy role, Richard still finds time to pursue his interests, such as golf. He says he’s failed to improve his game much. That’s okay Richard, keep improving SW Group, that’s enough for us.

Christian’s role covers many areas, including operations, sales, and problem-solving. A big part of Christian’s role is ensuring smooth operations. Areas of responsibility include managing logistics, overseeing sales strategies, coordinating with clients, and optimising efficiency.

Christian stands out because of his commitment and versatility. You’ll always find him doing whatever it takes for the business to succeed.

Christian has a passion for cooking, a passion he likes to share. He loves to prepare meals for groups of friends and family, to put a smile on their faces.

Gary’s role is extremely varied and can include all aspects of the business. He oversees all I.T., systems, and customer integration. Responsibilities also include retaining strong relationships with key customers and onboarding new clients. Gary identifies new customers and negotiates contracts.

Each day brings a new challenge, and no two days are the same. Gary’s ability to adapt and manage diverse tasks makes him essential to the team. His job involves overseeing commercial strategies, ensuring customer satisfaction, and implementing efficient systems. He works closely with other departments to align business objectives and drive growth.

Gary seems to handle the dynamic nature of his responsibilities without effort. In this his contribution to the success of SW Group is significant. His strategic mindset and strong relationship-building skills help the company thrive.

A morning person, Gary is happiest early in the day when all is quiet. He especially enjoys the great outdoors.

Mike is the driving force behind the company’s growth and expansion efforts. His role involves securing new clients and nurturing existing ones. And forming strategic plans to achieve both personal and company goals. Mike thrives on meeting people and exploring exciting new business opportunities.

Mike identifies new market opportunities, develops relationships, and creates sales plans. He also ensures that SW Group meets its customer needs. It’s all about providing exceptional service and maintaining strong client relationships. We rely on his ability to connect with clients and understand their needs.

Outside of work Mike has an adventurous side, and a love for thrilling experiences. The killer example? He snorkelled with wild killer whales in the Arctic.

Craig Bates is the Leeds depot manager. He oversees daily operations, ensuring everything is smooth running. Responsibilities include depot logistics, coordinating with team members, and maintaining high service standards. Craig ensures that all processes are efficient – from receipt to dispatch. That’s how to meet client deadlines and maintain customer satisfaction.

Craig values the camaraderie and teamwork at the Leeds depot. He leads a skilled group committed to excellence in logistics and distribution. We recognise Craig for his dedication and ability to manage complex logistics operations. That’s what makes him an invaluable part of the SW Group team.

Outside of work, Craig has an impressive talent for completing the Rubik’s cube. Testament to his problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Gareth Thomas is our depot manager at Swindon. He oversees drivers and office staff and deals with the most challenging transport issues. Gareth also coordinates logistics and maintains high standards of service and safety.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations. This includes optimising transport routes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Gareth works with his team to address any issues, before they become problems. Together they provide solutions for the smooth and efficient running of operations.

Gareth draws on his extensive experience to handle our complex logistics challenges. His leadership skills and high operational standards make him a vital part of SW Group.

Outside of his professional life, Gareth is a two-time amateur BMW racing champion. His passion for motorsport reflects his competitive nature and drive for excellence. We see his enthusiasm and determination carry over into his role. Gareth always strives for improvement and success.

Our depot manager for Telford. He manages the day-to-day operations of the Telford depot, ensuring everything runs as it should. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities for problem-solving, which Cameron thrives on. He oversees logistics, coordinates with team members, and maintains our high standards of service.

Cameron appreciates the dynamic nature of his job, as no two days are the same. His ability to adapt and solve problems efficiently makes him a crucial part of the SW Group team.

Outside of work, Cameron loves sports. His passion for sports reflects his team spirit and competitive nature, which he brings to his role at SW Group. Cameron’s leadership and dedication to his team make him an invaluable asset.

Neil ensures the entire fleet is in top condition and compliant with all regulations. He takes this responsibility seriously. Neil loves tackling diagnostic challenges and maintaining high standards. He plays a crucial role in keeping vehicles roadworthy and meeting client deadlines.

Neil is dedicated to customer satisfaction. He strives to keep everyone happy with reliable and efficient service. His expertise and commitment make him an invaluable member of the SW Group team.

Sharon leads a team of six to ensure all accounting functions run smoothly. Sharon handles tasks such as financial reporting, cost analysis, and auditing. Her role is vital in managing the financial health of the company. She ensures that the company’s finances are accurately tracked and reported, providing the necessary insights for strategic decision-making.

Sharon finds satisfaction in reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and transparency in the accounts. Her keen eye for detail ensures accuracy and transparency in our accounts. We’re grateful for her meticulous work that helps maintain the integrity of our finances.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sharon is a keen fan of sport and enjoys travelling to events around the country.

A significant part of a business analyst role involves supporting data-driven decision-making. Ilona develops business reports to translate large data sets into actionable insights. She is also responsible for communicating updates and highlights through the company newsletter.

For Ilona the best part of her role is the creativity it allows. She uses PowerBI dashboards to make data easier to digest. Ideal for turning complex information into clear and concise visual representations.

Though still young, Ilona enriches SW Group through her life experience. She’s lived in six different countries, giving her a unique perspective. This brings a unique approach to her work. Ilona’s an invaluable member of the SW Group Logistics team.

As a job title: Health, Safety, Quality, and Compliance Manager is quite the mouthful. Appropriate for a job that applies to every activity our business does. As HSQ&C Manager Rebecca is dedicated to creating a secure, compliant workplace for everyone. She implements systems to meet regulatory standards, guide stakeholders through legislation, and investigate incidents with data-driven improvements. Her role ensures the company meets ISO and FORS standards, while promoting best practices across the industry.

Meeting everyone across the organisation is important to Rebecca. As she says, “no one knows a job better than the person who does the job”. It’s important to her because learning about different roles and hearing ideas makes for a safer workplace. Rebecca describes the work as, “making a real difference by helping to create a safe environment for everyone”.

When she was younger Rebecca regularly took part in talent shows, impersonating the singer, Avril Lavigne. These days she spends weekends cheering on Glasgow Rangers and Aston Villa, and yes — she has two accents. When speaking (or cheering) with passion you’ll hear her Glaswegian!
